*Sigh* Vivian Leigh truly is my style paragon. She embodied grace, class, and poise, although she had a very tragic life. At home and in the public, her style was classic and dramatic... pure gorgeousness. I hope that you were inspired by Miss Leigh's exquisite style. :)

I just found your blog and I must say I enjoy very much reading all of the things you have to say - I love your ideas on fashion. I also love the fact that you like Vivien Leigh (as far as I can tell she must be for you what Barbara Stanwyck is for me). I just watched my first Vivien Leigh movie last night (Waterloo Bridge, 1940), and I couldn't help thinking of you as I watched her pull off her elbow-length gloves finger-by-finger. ;) I hope you'll drop by my blog (http://theswingmood.blogspot.com/) sometime soon and say hello. I LOVE Vivien... sadly though since she had an affair and was rather... aggressive about it (apparently) I would not call her classy in that sense, and Scarlett O'Hara was most certainly NOT classy either, but I love this post and hope you don't mind that I used a couple of your pics for my own post about her (don't worry, I ain't copying you though). :-)
I just accidentally stumbled upon this blog today while looking for pics of Vivien in some dresses other than her famous Scarlett ones, and it's perfect for me! how rare is it now to find women who DON'T scorn femininity, REAL femininity (or men for that matter), as in respect marriage and children, are modest, wise, quiet, etc. AND realize how important modesty is in fashion? thanks!
